On-line registration for Labor Day mega job fairs on

Fresh graduates and jobseekers who will troop to the Job and Livelihood Fairs on Labor Day will now have an easy time filing their application as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) recently opened its online pre-registration to the public.

Labor and Employment Secretary Marianito D. Roque said its Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) has opened its online pre-registration through its job-matching facility, the Phil-JobNet to accommodate the registration of job applicants who may wish to avail of the Job and Livelihood Fairs on May 1.

Roque said jobseekers will now have a better chance of finding a job that will suit their qualifications as the processing of application documents has been made a lot easier and simpler.

He said that jobseekers will just have to log on to www.phil-job.net and they will be guided on the registration procedures.

Pre-registered applicants have to go on May 1 to the SMX Convention Center at Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City and to Halls 1 and 2 of the Megatrade Hall of SM Megamall from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Applicants will no longer have to fill out forms and endure the long queues as they will be given Identification Cards (ID) that will serve as their passes upon entering the Job Fair area.

Through online registration, employers will have ample time to look for their skills requirements, as applicant's accounts will now be readily available for them to preview and preselect.

"Of course, walk in applicants will also be accepted and accommodated during the Job and Livelihood Fairs," the Labor Chief added. "They will have to go to all job fairs venues to manually register."

The DOLE will hold simultaneous Job and Livelihood Fairs in SM Fairview, SM North EDSA, SM South Mall and SM San Lazaro.
