POEA recalls latest deployment ban

By SAMUEL MEDENILLA

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) recalled Friday its previous resolution imposing a deployment ban to 41 countries with no policy protection for overseas Filipino workers (OFW).

POEA Administrator Carlos Cao said the POEA Governing Board (GB) Resolution No. 8 was based on the official communication from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), which recalled its previous certification on the banned countries.
